Description

The Seagull Nebula is an emission nebula in Monoceros that also includes the open clusters NGC 2335 and NGC 2343.  The seagull's head itself has a designation of NGC 2327 and glows from the ultraviolet radiation of the young star HD 53367 near the seagull's "eye."  The entire nebula spans about 100 light years at a distance of around 3700 light years.

Imaged over several nights:  Feb 5, 8,10,14-15,18 and 20, 2022.
